MS interrupts the flow of information from the brain to the body and stops people from moving. It is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system.
As lame as the slogan is, it's even lamer as a description of the disease. Someone who reads this could be excused for developing a fear that a family member, coworker, or employee with MS might some day, without any warning, suddenly be frozen motionless like some kind of neurological Pompeian. Should they be permitted to venture out in public unescorted? What if MS struck as they were crossing a busy intersection? What if MS struck as they were driving a car? Would the car freeze too?
Might scare up a few more research dollars...

Heh ... I blame the MS Committee ... they got 'stuck' trying to find a slogan!
stops people from moving...
makes people move involuntarily...
stops people from feeling...
makes people feel abnormally...
stops people from thinking...
whoops, I guess it didn't make people think more carefully on a slogan which turns into a description.
Love mdmhvonpa's comment! Very interesting observation. I suppose they are figuring people won't take it literal, but when you have just been diagnosed and this is the first thing you come across....holy sh*t, not good.
Just for the record I personally do have MS and have woken up not being able to feel parts of my body and many people go blind even if temporarily out of no where so unless you have dealt first hand with a disease like this please don't say anything negative in regard to an organization that is trying to cure people like myself and help so many others on a daily basis.
